GIS Technician - StreetCam3D, Wellington

Terralink’s StreetCam3D system is the only one of its type in NZ, and we are seeking an experienced GIS Technician to support the production of data captured by this leading edge technology.

You will provide operational and technical analysis and support for the production of LiDAR and Imagery datasets, captured by Terralink’s StreetCam3D mobile mapping system.  This will include responsibility for the processing and matching of the data, as well as data management, quality assurance, and data analysis, to ensure that the derived datasets are fit for supply to Terralink’s clients and into Terralink’s products and services.

Skills & Experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Surveying or a related discipline or 3 - 5 years relevant experience within the GIS field.
  • A sound understanding of GIS based disciplines related to LiDAR and imagery, including acquisition, maintenance, storage and delivery processes.
  • Good knowledge with data production, and delivery technologies and techniques.
  • Previous knowledge and experience or understanding of survey or GPS concepts and methodologies.
  • Previous experience using GIS related software applications.
  • A strong background with understanding GIS related data and imagery processing work flows.

Have you successfully sold data and data centric solutions across the banking, financial and insurance sectors?

Do you have a demonstrable operational understanding and in depth knowledge of the business intelligence requirements of this sector?

Have you previously worked within, or had an in depth association with a banking, finance or insurance organisation?

You’ll be in your element in this senior sales role, bringing consulting skills which will allow you to professionally strategise and sell spatial business intelligence solutions to our customers across the banking, finance and insurance sectors. Skills & Experience

It is essential that you have proven history and experience across the NZ banking, finance and insurance sectors, and be sales driven, energetic and enthusiastic. You will also have:

  • A solid demonstrable network of relationships within the New Zealand banking, finance and insurance sectors at a senior level
  • Proven history and experience within a sales and business development environment, delivering property based technology solutions across to the banking, finance and insurance sectors
  • Strong consulting ability, and able to identify business problems, and formulate potential solutions to resolve these
  • Proven abilities in preparing tender and presentation documents to a professional standard
  • A very confident and effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to be able to design, implement and monitor the effective delivery of sales plans and reports
  • Proven ability to be able to identify, negotiate and close large sales, and to negotiate and facilitate commercial contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
