Technical Services Manager, Wellington

Due to internal promotion and growth we are seeking a manager to lead our dynamic team that provides consultancy, support and services to our wide range of customers both internally and externally.

As a member of our Senior Management team, you will be responsible for leading your team in the development and delivery of new geospatial services and solutions to our clients. You will also be responsible for the overall management and support of our core geospatial data infrastructure, including data replication systems, databases, data  architecture  and models, and data delivery IT infrastructure.

With a strong technical operations focus, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of our senior technical group (including consultants, developers, GIS analysts, DBA’s and other project staff) in the development, delivery and ongoing support of geospatial data, services, projects and solutions across our company and to our customers.

Skills and Experience

As this is a senior position, proven experience in the effective leadership and management of high performance operational teams in a technical service delivery environment is essential.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • An excellent technical background across a range of IT platforms and infrastructure including a good working knowledge of database technologies (in particular Oracle and Postgres).
  • A strong background with data and service delivery architecture, including data hosting, databases, data replication, and data management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and technical project management experience within a technical environment.
  • Astute commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills in a technical environment.
  • Ideally a good understanding of the NZ Geospatial industry and GIS systems, software and spatial data technologies.

Telephone Sales Representative, Wellington

Due to expansion, a proactive, sales focussed and highly motivated results-driven Telephone Sales Rep is needed for our energetic team.

We are currently seeking a proactive Telephone Sales Representative to join our Customer Services team.

Working with our marketing, sales and product team, you will be responsible for the telephone sales of our products to new and existing customers and assist in the profitably, growth and market share of our products and services

This permanent role is full time (40 hours per week) but with some flexibility around start and finish times as the team operates on a roster system covering the hours 8am until 5.30pm.

Skills & Experience

It is essential that you are sales driven, energetic and enthusiastic. You will also be someone with:

  • Sales Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques.
  • Have proven experience in a sales and target orientated environment.
  • Goal driven with drive and determination to ask for the sale to meet targets consistently.
  • Good understanding of telephony sales techniques.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn new products. 
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Outstanding listening and organisational skills.
  • Monitoring/Analyse performance of yourself to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Products

Web Development & Delivery Manager

Lead and manage our dynamic team responsible for the development and support of our award winning web products.

  • Lead a small team of highly skilled web developers

We have a small and highly skilled web development team which champions the development and support of Terralink’s commercial websites specialising in property information, online mapping and GIS technologies.

You will directly contribute to the operational and strategic direction of Terralink’s web products, and are responsible for the effective scoping, planning, project management and successful delivery of new web product development initiatives, as well as for the effective day to day operational management of Terralink’s web products.

This role will act as a key liaison point between the development team and all other key stakeholders throughout the planning, build and delivery phases of Terralink’s web development projects.

Your technical experience across web development languages (ie Ruby on Rails, PHP), database experience (ie Postgres, mySQL) and web mapping (ESRI, Open Source) would be valued in this role.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A strong technical/web development background
  • Experience leading and supervising web development teams
  • Excellent technical project management experience.
