Emergency Services Mapping and Location Data and Services

New Zealand Police, on behalf of Emergency Services, have tendered for the provision of mapping and location data and have selected Terralink International Ltd as the preferred supplier of this data.

This data is being used by the following key Emergency Service agencies:

• New Zealand Police
• New Zealand Fire Service
• St John Emergency Communications Ltd and Central Emergency Communications Ltd on behalf of St John and Wellington Free Ambulance
• Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management
• New Zealand Defence Force.

Ministry of Economic Development approved Syndicated Procurement applies to this ES Mapping and Location Data Agreement.  A Common Use Provision clause also forms part of the agreement, enabling eligible Government agencies to join at any time during the life of the agreement.

Terralink and New Zealand Police have built a secure extranet for the Emergency Services Cluster group and eligible Government agencies to obtain more information about the Mapping and Location Data as well as the Syndicated Procurement Agreement. 

The extranet includes a blog and discussion forum for community members to exchange ideas and information.
