Land Use

NZ MasterMapTM - Land Use is a unique Terralink data layer which is a collection of fundamental land use data sets that combine to present an overview of how land is utilised. This layer provides physical property areas which reflect the actual extent of a property land use as opposed to the legal parcel definition. For example, a school may occupy several parcels of land and lease an adjoining parcel. The NZ MasterMapTM - Land Use layer combines these parcels and shows this as a single school property extent. Comprehensive data is available (such as schools, hospitals, parks and reserves, and residential sites) across New Zealand. This layer demonstrates what land is being used for, and whether it is developed or vacant for example.

Fit for purpose:

When your need is to have an up to date picture of how land is being used and developed within New Zealand, NZ MasterMapTM - Land Use is a useful layer of information for planners or developers.
