Geocoding and Address Matching
Pinpointing the locations of clients and assets, using existing private company databases, CRM packages and the like, can be a frustrating process. Terralink International solves this common business dilemma through its geocoding and address matching processes.
The geocoding method is an approach to maximise both match rates and accuracy. Terralink uses multiple matching routines against multiple address file formats, to ensure addresses have the best chance to match. Additionally, Terralink International only appends the validated geocode coordinates from Terralink International’s extensive national Landbase, with 1.62 million address points.
Geocoding services are relevant to any sized company, allowing them to pinpoint customers and clean client address records.
To match addresses and standardise addressing formats, addresses supplied by the client are matched against legal and alias addresses. Suburb information can be corrected and postcodes added. Enhanced addresses are returned to the customer in specified database formats.
Alternatively Terralink can supply an address data set and consultancy services for companies to perform these tasks internally.
When it is important to show the geographical location of an address, Terralink International provides co-ordinates to supplement address information. Georeferences are provided to clients chiefly for use within Geographic Information Systems (GIS) but can also be supplied as digital and hardcopy maps.
