Customised eMap

By integrating selected eMap datasets with your own data, we create a customised application with GIS functionality. We have provided eMap to a large telecommunications company with layers containing broadcast areas of their various networks. A large residential distribution company uses eMap data integration to map walkout and delivery routes.

eMap’s powerful spatial information can be delivered:

Case Studies

Telecommunications

Terralink created a customised version of eMap for Telecom called teleZone, which includes zoning of customer addresses and the exchange customers belong to.  This database allows visibility outside of Telecom and is on sold to their wholesale customers.

Using eMap, Terralink International built a 3D animation for a telecommunications company to enable them to trial transmissions down city streets, pinpointing locations for repeater sites.

Agriculture

In partnership with New Zealand leading fertiliser and agriculture chemical company Ravensdown Ltd, Terralink International developed a customised farm mapping tool from eMap called Farmbase.

Farmbase allows an orthophotograph, property information (boundaries and road centrelines) and topographic features (contours, forests and hydrography) to be viewed online.

Using the appropriate farm mapping software allows farm managers to measure boundaries, calculate the area of paddocks, draft stock rotation and feed requirements, and plan fertiliser and irrigation applications.

Statistics New Zealand

Terralink International created a customised version of eMap, for Statistics NZ, that integrates key statistical data.

Statistics use eMap to update meshblock boundaries to represent population changes (urban sprawl).
